Private Riding Lessons run on weekdays throughout the year. 

Lessons are designed to suit your preferred discipline. Enjoy building confidence on the ground and in the saddle. Work with qualified riding instructors on seat correction to find an independent and balanced seat. Sporting, show jumping, working equitation and bare back lessons are also available.

$85.00 per lesson enjoying one on one instruction on a schooled horse. 

$60.00 for a private lesson - Agistment customers riding their own horse.

Regular Small Group Riding Lessons

These lessons are designed for our regular Kangaroo Valley Horses riders working together in a group improving skills in show jumping, sporting, working equitation, bare back riding, cross country jumping, dressage and hacking. Please apply for a series of Private Riding Lessons to qualify for these Group Lessons. 

Regular Small Group Lessons run on selected weekdays after school/work and on selected weekends.

Small Group Lessons for casual bookings 

These lessons are designed for beginner to experienced riders and are ideal for school groups, corporate groups and family & friend groups. Phone 0402 902 072 to discuss the availability of a program to suit your group.

Morning or Afternoon Trail Rides

For Intermediate to Experienced Riders.

Riders will need to set aside at least 1.5 hours to 2 hours for this equestrian adventure commencing with a warm up in the arena. 

 

Ride through beautiful scenery crossing creeks on open farm land and into scenic bush trails with qualified riding instructors.

 

The minimum age for trail rides is 14 years old unless pre-approved by our riding instructors. Please note as we ride out in the open crossing creeks and not simply one horse behind the other, for safety and to satisfy our insurance requirements, all riders are required to demonstrate the basic aids of riding including balance and confidence in the posting trot to participate in the Kangaroo Valley Horses trail rides.

Cost $150.00 per rider for casual bookings

Cost $110.00 for regular KVH private & group lesson riders.

No Charge for Agistment Horse & Rider.

Long Trail Rides

Open to riders balanced & experienced in the posting trot with some experience in the canter as a minimum requirement. 

 

This great experience provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy an amazing adventure in a small group! The day commences with preparing a horse to ride followed by a riding assessment in the arena. Riders booking into these rides for their safety, and to satisfy our insurance requirements, are required to demonstrate balance and confident in the Rising Trot with some experience in the Canter as we ride out into open farmland, crossing creeks into scenic and remote bushland trails.

Rides commence in the morning and return in the afternoon after stopping along the way at a scenic location. BYO saddle pack sized lunch to enjoy on the trail. 

 

Cost $220.00 per rider participating on a KVH riding school horse.

Cost $150.00 for regular private and group lesson riders.

Full Moon Night Ride! 

Participants will ride out on a guided ride at sunset to view the rise of a full moon. We ride across creeks to bonfires lit around the beautiful Kangaroo Valley Horses property Riverstone. 

Riders are welcome to camp overnight. 

 

Please note for the safety of the group, the full moon night rides are open to experienced riders only balanced and capable in the canter under all conditions.

Due to the fading light, this is not a ride for intermediate to beginner riders.  

Cost $180.00 riding a schooled horse provided by KVH.

Cost $ 90.00 when bringing your own horse - please note the horse must be approved by our instructors at the time of booking.

RIDING CAMPS!

Specially designed for Adults & Children!

 

The September / October 2024 Intermediate to Experienced riders camp, running on Sept. 30th to Oct 2nd is now open for bookings.  

​

The Beginner riders camp offers riding lessons on the ground and in the saddle in the arena, learning about horse care, mounted games and other fun activities! The minimum requirement for this camp is to be confident around horses. 

​

Intermediate to Experienced riders enjoy riding throughout beautiful farmland into scenic bush trails crossing creeks and stopping for lunch along the way. 

 

These camp programs includes riding lessons in Sporting, Jumping (from ground poles up!), bareback riding and riding independently on the open trail with qualified and encouraging riding instructors who love to ride and to teach. The minimum requirement for the Intermediate to Experienced riders camps is to be balanced and confident in the posting trot, and confident and capable at stopping and turning in the trot.

Cost $780.00 for 3 days of horse hire, equine adventure & riding instruction on a schooled horse provided by Kangaroo Valley Horses.

Cost $690.00 for our regular riders booked into a term of lessons and trails riding our schooled horses.  

​

Cost $450.00 for 3 days of Riding Instruction and adventure when bringing your own horse to camp. (The horse must first be approved by our instructors). 

 

Cost $330.00 for the Kangaroo Valley Horses Agistment Customers riding their own horses over 3 days of adventure and extension of skills!

Equestrian Clinics!

"Owning My Own Horse Clinics"

These informative and practical clinics are specially Designed for riders wanting to one day own their own horse, for riders wanting to know more about caring for the wellbeing of horses, horse training and the time and costs involved and for anyone interested in furthering their equestrian knowledge and experience.  

 

Lessons will be held throughout the clinic on the ground and in the saddle with sporting & mounted games and informative demonstrations and information discussions. 

Cost: $520.00 for this exciting 2 day clinic running from 9.30am to 4.30pm each day. Open to Adults and Children. Participants are welcome to camp on the beautiful Kangaroo Valley Horses property while attending the camps and clinics.
