Is this a working farm?
Yes, Kangaroo Valley Horses is a working equestrian farm where horses roam freely across more than 200 acres.
Can Farm Stay guests interact with horses?
Guests can book horse riding, horse care sessions and horse feeding experiences and, the horses love to graze around the farm stay area.
Is the Farm Stay suitable for couples?
The private accommodation is popular with couples seeking a peaceful rural escape. Additional guests are welcome when pre-booked to stay.
Is the property near Berry?
Yes, the property is located in the Kangaroo Valley region of the NSW South Coast, around 45 minutes from Berry and 25 minutes from Nowra.
How far is the farm from Sydney ?
The property is located approximately 2.5 hours from Sydney.
Do we need to bring our own food?
Grazing boards can be ordered in advance of your Farm Stay. Guests are welcome to bring their own food into the private outdoor kitchen.

Riders and guests are not permitted to enter the property without a booking.
Are beginner riders able to book horse riding?
Beginner riders are welcome to book into a series of weekly or fortnightly riding lessons. Horse riding is also offered to our Farm Stay guests from beginner to experienced riders during their stay, when booked in advance.
How many riders are on a trail ride?
The average trail ride has around 6 to 8 intermediate to experienced riders. Rides commence and finish in the walk with the opportunity to trot and canter along the way.
Are children permitted to horse ride?
Children booked into a series of weekly or fortnightly riding lessons may start as beginner riders. Children who are able to demonstrate balance and capability, riding independently, in the rising trot are welcome to apply for trail riding.
What do I need to wear for horse riding?
Enclosed shoes with a low heel are essential for safety. Riding Helmets are provided for you. Comfortable sun protective clothing, jodhpurs or long pants are required for comfort.
Can I bring my dog to the property?
For the safety of the riders and wildlife, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and must be kept at a safe distance from the horses and from all other riders and guests at all times.
How do I confirm a booking?
All horse riding bookings are confirmed on advice of availability on a ride and on receipt of the Rider Application & Waiver Form and also on receipt of payment.
